Classroom

Teaching hours for instructors: Mon. - Sat., 8am - 10pm, Sun. 10am - 6pm

              The classroom has a wide, wheel-chair accessable entrance. It is outfitted with six 6' folding tables, 25 chairs, an adjustable large drafting table and cushioned chair for instructors, 2 dry erase/magnetic boards, a large double-hanging folder cabinet, brown paper roll (table covering), 2' x 3' x 6' multi-shelved drying rack, full wheel-chair accessable bathroom (with wall bar, toilet, sink, mirror, paper towel roll & supply shelf), back room with utility sink for clean-up, supply shelves, coat hooks, and full-size refrigerator & microwave. Classroom is lined with slatted walls suitable for hanging art work, with wall hooks. A portable stereo on wheels is also available for musical inspiration. When not in use, a metal gate is locked down preventing any access with mall security patrolling 24-7.

                                                      Pottery Studio

Within the classroom is a pottery studio outfitted with 2 electric wheels, a slab roller, and a kneading table, surrounded by easily cleanable formica-covered walls and covered with a tile floor. Slatted walls with shelves for drying wheel-thrown or hand-built pieces line the wall. Custom bamboo, metal and wire trimming tools, as well as an aluminum manual trimming wheel is also provided. This studio is available for pottery instructors as well as studio rental time for experienced potters.
